Taste of South Carolina is a special reception to be held on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020. The reception showcases key agribusiness companies, leaders, award winners, and advocates. The Taste of South Carolina is an invitation engagement with limited tickets for $25 each.

After a day of AgriBiz Expo networking, bring your appetite and your passion for Certified SC Grown food to the 8th Annual Taste of South Carolina. Come hungry for delicious food and beverage prepared by local chef Dupre Percival of Dupre Catering and grown by several of the Certified SC Grown Roots farmers. Lowcountry Creamery, Freshly Grown Farms, and McLeod Farms are just some of the farms represented on the menu. State agriculture and agribusiness leaders, exhibitors, producers and other special guests will be on hand to continue networking and conversations from the day. The breakfast is hosted by the South Carolina Advocates for Agriculture and it is sponsored by Birdsong Peanuts, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP and Nexsen Pruet. The Commissioners presentation will focus on the “State of South Carolina Agriculture”. Make plans to hear Commissioner Hugh Weathers speak about the current trends and conditions in South Carolina’s booming agriculture industry and discuss plans to further advance agribusiness in 2020. The Commissioner Breakfast  is a fundraiser for SC Advocates for Agriculture projects such as the Commissioners School for Ag, FFA, 4-H, and Ag in the Classroom. Farmer Appreciation Breakfast

The celebration breakfast will be held Wednesday, January 15th at 8AM at the Florence Center. The breakfast will include an outstanding keynote speaker. In 2019, an outstanding address was presented by Michele Payn, principal of Cause Matters Corporation. Breakfast is provided complimentary of AgFirst Farm Credit Bank.

SC AgriBiz Youth Day

The SC FFA Association will provide education classes for all youth on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020. In 2019, students attended the 11am, Championing Agriculture presentation, led by Michele Payn followed by an educational instructional class at 1pm.  The classes are available for ALL YOUTH.  Educational information shared will consist of hands on/interactive workshop of diversity in agriculture and youth programs. This is a free event.
